Tickets are generally non-refundable. However, refunds, exchanges, or credits may be offered in the following circumstances:

  • If a performance is cancelled by Shakespeare South

  • If a performance is significantly rescheduled

  • If a performance is cancelled or cannot proceed due to inclement weather or unsafe conditions

  • Where required under Australian Consumer Law

Where possible, ticket holders may be offered:

Requests for exchanges or credits should be made prior to the performance where possible.

Weather and Outdoor Performances

Shakespeare South reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule performances due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, venue safety, or other unforeseen events.

For outdoor and site-responsive performances, weather conditions are carefully monitored. If a performance is deemed unsafe or unable to proceed, we will notify ticket holders as soon as possible.

In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, ticket holders will be offered:

  • A transfer to another performance (where available), or

  • A credit, or

  • A refund

If a performance proceeds despite variable weather conditions, tickets will not be refunded.

Photography and Recording

Photography, video, or audio recording during performances is not permitted unless explicitly authorised. By attending a performance, you acknowledge that Shakespeare South may capture photographs or video for promotional purposes. If you have concerns, please contact us in advance.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Shakespeare South is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage sustained at a performance, except where required under Australian Consumer Law. Attendees enter venues at their own risk, particularly in outdoor or site-responsive environments.

Thank you for supporting independent theatre. Please contact us if you have any questions or if we can help in any way.
